MTSS

Social Circle City Schools is dedicated to identifying and meeting the needs of all students through a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). As part of the MTSS, the district and school leaders provide the support systems and resources necessary to conduct screening and use screening results to inform data-based decision-making. The purpose of screening is to identify students who need enrichment/acceleration or who are at risk for poor learning and/or poor behavior outcomes and provide an indicator of system effectiveness.

 

Below is a list of screenings that are scheduled to be administered during this current school year. If additional screening is added later in the school year, you will be notified in writing.

 

★ Measures of Academic Progress - MAP (All Schools)

★ Behavior Screener (All Schools)

★ Wilson Assessment of Decoding and Encoding (SCPS & SCES Only)

★ Speech Screener (SCPS & SCES Only)

★ Informal Academic Screener (SCPS Only)

★ Heggerty Baseline Phonemic Awareness Assessment (SCPS Only)

 

If you have any questions regarding the above-mentioned screenings or do not wish your child to participate in the screening process, please contact your school’s MTSS Coordinator.
