Summer Reading and Assignments

Keep the learning going this summer!

Summer Reading assignments and activities are provided below as well as some additional resources that can help keep students curious.

Social Circle Middle

Rising 6th Grade

Students are encouraged to read at least one book off of the recommended reading list or a book close to their Lexile level.

Project options are provided as well. Students who complete a project will be eligible to attend the Ice Cream Social upon returning to school.

Rising 7th Grade

Students are encouraged to read one of the following books.

Begin thinking about which choice you want to complete in order to attend the Ice Cream Social.

Rising 8th Grade

Students should choose one book off of the reading list.

Project options are provided as well. Students who complete a project will be eligible to attend the Ice Cream Social upon returning to school.

Students should read the book assigned for their 2023-2024 English course. Each novel will be the focus of the first unit of study upon returning from summer. It is important that students read the book over the summer, as time will not be given in class to read it.
