Social Circle City Schools is proud to be a participant in the REACH Georgia Scholarship Program—the State of Georgia’s first needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program. The mission of the REACH Georgia Foundation is to be the most effective champion for Georgia’s children in need, unlocking the full potential of our future workforce.

Reach Scholars who successfully complete the program and graduate from high school earn a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 per year for up to 4 years) to be used at any Georgia college, university, or technical college of their choice.

How to Get Involved

Selected scholars enter the program in the 8th grade. Throughout their middle and high school years, they regularly meet with dedicated mentors and academic coaches while participating in tailored career and college preparation activities.

  • For Students & Families: If you believe your child could benefit from this life-changing opportunity, applications open at the beginning of middle school. Interested students and families should reach out to their school counselor at the start of their child's 8th-grade year to apply.

  • For Potential Mentors: You can directly impact a scholar's journey! If you are a community member interested in volunteering your time to serve as a mentor, please visit our SCCS Mentoring Website to learn more and sign up.

  • For Donors: Thanks to private donors like you, additional Social Circle students are able to participate in this incredible program. We invite you to join us as a REACH Georgia donor. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly toward scholarships, making a lasting difference in the lives of our students, their families, and future generations.
