The vision of the Social Circle City Schools Counseling Department is to empower all students to embody the qualities of the Portrait of a Graduate—to become Compassionate Communicators, Creative Problem-Solvers, Critical Thinkers, Empathetic Collaborators, Global Citizens, and Life-Literate Learners.
Aligned with the SCCS Strategic Plan, our vision is to inspire confident, curious learners who graduate ready to thrive in our community and the world. Through collaboration with families, educators, and community partners, our counselors foster an inclusive environment that nurtures resilience, integrity, and purpose—preparing all students to thrive in college, career, and life.
In alignment with the district's Strategic Plan, and its commitment to a culture of trust, collaboration, and excellence, the mission of the Social Circle City Schools Counseling Department is to deliver a comprehensive, data-informed counseling program that supports the whole child. Our counselors empower students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while developing the skills and mindsets identified in the Portrait of a Graduate. Through equitable access to counseling, career readiness, and social-emotional learning opportunities, we strive to ensure that all students graduate prepared to lead, learn, and contribute meaningfully as productive and compassionate citizens.
