Centegix CrisisAlert System
Since 2020, Social Circle City Schools has utilized the Centegix CrisisAlert System to ensure staff can quickly and effectively communicate during emergencies. Each faculty member wears a personal badge that, when activated, sends immediate alerts to the emergency personnel and school administrators. The system also triggers an audible warning and activates strategically placed beacons throughout the building. These beacons change color to indicate the type of emergency, helping staff and visitors respond appropriately.
Parents, guardians, and visitors on campus during an alert are asked to follow all safety directions and take note of the colored beacons as our emergency procedures are in progress.
CrisisAlert Color Codes:
-
Hard Lockdown (Red) – Used when there is an immediate and serious threat to students or staff. All interior and exterior doors are locked, and students remain in classrooms until escorted by authorities.
-
Soft Lockdown (Yellow) – Used as a precautionary measure when there is a potential concern. Students are brought indoors, exterior doors are secured, and normal activities continue inside with guidance from staff.
-
Shelter in Place (Blue) – Used during severe weather or natural disasters. Students and staff follow safety protocols specific to the threat.
-
Evacuate (Green) – Used for fires, hazardous material spills, or other threats requiring relocation. Students and staff move to a designated safe area, and reunification procedures may follow.
-
All Clear (White) – Used to notify students and staff that classroom activities may resume as normal.
