Bullying
Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.
Social Circle City Schools is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. In addition to our stance against bullying, we recognize that cyberbullying, bullying that takes place through electronic technology such as text messages, social media, emails, or online forums, can be equally harmful.
What is Cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying includes the use of digital devices, apps, and websites to:

Harass, threaten, or humiliate others.

Spread harmful or false information.

Share inappropriate images or messages.

Exclude or target individuals through online groups or forums.
How We Address Bullying
In accordance with Board Policy and state law, SCCS:

Sets clear expectations for respectful behavior and consistent consequences for bullying

Provides ongoing staff training and student education focused on empathy and kindness

Supports all students involved in bullying situations

Encourages open communication and provides a safe, confidential process for reporting concerns
