The Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) is a one-cent sales tax dedicated to improving our schools. This penny sales tax allows everyone who shops in our community, residents and visitors alike, to contribute to better educational facilities and resources for our students.  E-SPLOST provides funding for capital improvements such as building construction, renovations, and technology upgrades - without raising property taxes.

How Funds Are Used

E-SPLOST funds can be used for major school system improvements, including:

  • New school construction and classroom additions

  • Renovation and modernization of existing facilities

  • Safety and security enhancements

  • Technology upgrades and equipment

  • Transportation improvements and bus replacement

  • Roofing, HVAC, and infrastructure updates

  • Instructional and support equipment

Completed & Ongoing Projects

Funds from previous E-SPLOST initiatives have made a significant impact across the district. These projects ensure our facilities remain safe, efficient, and designed for student success.

Examples of Completed Projects:

  • Construction of the Middle-High School building

  • Construction of the Administrative Building

  • Construction of the Athletic Complex

  • Construction of the Elementary School building

  • Purchase of additional school buses

  • Enhancements to safety and security 

  • Improvements in technology for schools & administration

  • Upgrades to technology resources for students

  • Purchase of textbooks, instructional, vocational, and physical education equipment

  • Improvement of existing educational and athletic facilities

Why E-SPLOST Matters

E-SPLOST allows our district to meet facility and equipment needs without increasing property taxes. It ensures that we can maintain safe and well-equipped schools that support quality learning environments for every student.

Renewal & Community Involvement

E-SPLOST must be renewed by voters every five years. Each renewal reflects our community’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence. We encourage all residents to stay informed and participate in the voting process, as your support directly impacts the success of our students and schools.
