CTAE Program
Social Circle City Schools is committed to preparing students for success beyond the classroom by offering innovative, career-focused programs that align with the district’s Portrait of a Graduate. Our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become workforce-ready, fostering the attributes outlined in our district’s vision for future-ready graduates.
Through hands-on experiences and real-world training, students develop essential competencies such as critical thinking, collaboration, communicating, and problem-solving — key traits emphasized in our Portrait of a Graduate. By completing Career Pathways, students not only gain specialized knowledge in their chosen fields but also engage in internships, work-based learning opportunities, and partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders. These experiences help students build confidence, resilience, and professional skills, ensuring they are well-equipped for success in both postsecondary education and the workforce.

Social Circle City Schools is proud to collaborate with Walton Works, an initiative of the Development Authority of Walton County dedicated to workforce development. This partnership provides our students with opportunities to engage in work-based learning experiences, connecting them with local industries and preparing them for in-demand careers within our community.
We encourage students and families to explore the Walton County Career Compass, a resource developed in collaboration with Social Circle City Schools and Walton County School District. This guide features students from Social Circle High School and showcases career pathways, industry connections, and opportunities available in Walton County, helping students make informed decisions about their futures.
It is the policy and practice of Social Circle City Schools to provide opportunities to all students without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, handicap, disability, genetic information or veteran status in its educational programs and activities. This includes, but is not limited to: admission, educational services, financial aid, and employment. Questions related to the application and compliance of this policy may contact the school system through Jennifer Chatham at jennifer.chatham@socialcircleschools.org or at (770) 464-2731.
