Curriculum and Instruction

At Social Circle City Schools, our mission is simple yet powerful: to create learning experiences that empower each student to succeed i life and make a positive impact on the world.

The Curriculum & Instruction Department partners with teachers, families, and the community to ensure that every student experiences engaging, challenging, and equitable learning. Our work is grounded in the Georgia Standards of Excellence and guided by our Portrait of a Graduate, which outlines the knowledge, skills, and character traits students need to thrive in college, career, and life.

What We Do

We provide leadership, service, and support through:

  • Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) – real-world learning pathways
  • Gifted Education – specialized opportunities for advanced learners
  • Instructional Technology – digital resources that enhance learning and teaching
  • Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) – interventions tailored to student needs
  • Professional Learning – growth opportunities aligned to district goals
  • Special Education – individualized supports that empower all learners to thrive
  • Staff Mentorship – support for educators at every stage of their careers

Our Strategic Commitments

Our work is aligned with our Strategic Plan, which prioritizes student learning, staff support, and strong community partnerships.

Our Promise

At SCCS, we are proud to be a small district with big opportunities. By strengthening learning, cultivating connections, committing to system effectiveness, and supporting well-being, we ensure that every student, every teacher, and every classroom contributes to ONE CIRCLE—a legacy of excellence for generations to come.
