Academic Support

The mission of the Academic Support Department is to provide the structures, resources, and services necessary to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to working in partnership with students, families, staff, and community members to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

We focus on equipping students and staff with the tools needed to thrive through:
  • Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): Providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions tailored to student needs

  • Student Records and Enrollment Services: Ensuring accurate and timely transfer of student information to support smooth transitions

  • School Safety and Crisis Response: Coordinating systems and processes to maintain secure, well-prepared school environments

  • Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training: Implementing state-required training for students and staff to promote well-being and safety

  • Behavioral and Mental Health Support: Connecting students and families with counseling, intervention, and community resources

  • Title I Family Engagement: Partnering with families through activities, events, and resources that strengthen the home-to-school connection

  • Specialized Student Services: Supporting students with school nurses, counselors, social workers, student success coordinators, ESOL services, Title IX compliance, federal programs, and student information data services

The work of the Academic Support Department reflects our commitment to the district’s Strategic Plan. By providing targeted academic and behavioral supports, equipping staff with professional learning, fostering safe and supportive schools, engaging families as partners, and maintaining efficient and transparent operations, we ensure that every child is given the opportunity to succeed. Together, these efforts prepare our students to thrive as future graduates and responsible citizens, fully aligned with the Portrait of a Graduate — growing as compassionate communicators, creative problem-solvers, critical thinkers, empathetic collaborators, global citizens, and life-literate learners.

We proudly live out our motto:
Academic Support — Equipping students, empowering staff, and engaging families:
One Student. One Teacher. One Classroom. One Legacy.
ONE CIRCLE
