The Academic Support Department is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of services to support the academic and personal well-being of students. This includes school counseling services, nursing services, federal programs, student information services, social work, and the Student Success Alliance, as well as other student services. The department is dedicated to ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Curriculum and Instruction
The Social Circle City Schools Curriculum and Instruction Department is committed to continually providing challenging and equitable learning opportunities for all staff and students. Information about Assessment, CTAE, Gifted, MTSS, Section 504, and Special Education is available.
The Social Circle City Schools Finance Department is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, and payroll.
The Social Circle City Schools Human Resources Department is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and administering employee benefits.
The School Nutrition Department promotes lifetime wellness by serving nutritious, quality, and economical breakfast and lunch meals.
Social workers provide support and resources to students and families facing social, emotional, and economic challenges that may affect their academic success. They work to identify and address barriers to learning and provide counseling, case management, and referral services.
Technology and Safety
The Social Circle Technology Department provides visionary leadership and systemic improvement by implementing a shared vision for comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformation throughout the organization. The department collaborates with other departments to create, promote, and sustain a dynamic, digital-age learning culture that provides a rigorous, relevant, and engaging education for all students.
Transportation and Maintenance
The Transportation and Maintenance Department is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, as well as the maintenance and upkeep of all school district facilities and equipment. This includes the operation and maintenance of school buses, as well as the scheduling and routing of transportation services.
The department is also responsible for maintaining and repairing all school district buildings, grounds, and equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing. The department works closely with school administrators, teachers, and staff to ensure that all facilities and equipment are in good working order, and that transportation services are timely and reliable.
