Out-of-District Enrollment

• Students must maintain high academic performance, good attendance, and exemplary behavior to remain enrolled in the district.
• Enrollment is subject to ongoing review. SCCS reserves the right to deny or discontinue enrollment if standards are not met.
• For consideration of siblings’ enrollment, families must apply each year. Sibling enrollment is not guaranteed.
• Families must complete the annual Student Information Update. Submitting false/misleading information will result in immediate dismissal.
• Families approved for out-of-district enrollment are required to complete and sign an Out-of-District Enrollment Agreement annually.

• $2,175.50 per semester per student (non-refundable; due via the Parent Portal one week before each semester)

• Tuition is updated annually
• Failure to pay may result in dismissal
• Newton County students: tuition is satisfied per Intergovernmental Agreement

• Parents/guardians are responsible for all transportation
• SCCS does not provide bus transportation
• Noncompliance may result in dismissal

In addition to the Continuing Enrollment standards outlined above, students must follow all rules, policies, and the Code of Conduct outlined in their school's student handbook.

Before acceptance, SCCS will consider:

• Capacity to meet the student’s academic, physical, and emotional needs
• Availability of resources/programs
• Class size limits

Applications must include the following for each child (incomplete applications will not be considered): Current and last two years’

• Report Card
• Attendance Records
• Discipline/Behavior Records
• Standardized Test Scores
• Copy of Individualized Education Plan (IEP), if applicable

• Applications are accepted until the district's capacity is reached
• Processing time: approximately 4 weeks
• Families will be notified of the district's decision via email
