Dear SCCS Family,

We are excited about the potential for growth and innovation in the 2020 - 2021 school year. Our
team was busy during the past five months planning for our students and staff to have a safe and
healthy return to school and our efforts paid off in many ways. Our students and staff were very
enthusiastic about returning to school and we have had a terrific first week. The COVID-19
pandemic has caused us to rethink how to most effectively deliver engaging instruction while
providing much needed Social-Emotional Learning components in our lessons. These challenging
times are helping us to become better educators. We are discovering new and innovative ways to
reach all of our students in order to ensure a successful school year that will result in tremendous
benefits for our students.

It is imperative that we work together to develop and maintain our new preventive health
measures in order for us to remain at school providing face to face learning opportunities for
families who prefer this option. These measures include:
? washing our hands regularly,
? wearing a mask when you cannot social distance,
? staying at home if you are sick,
? and quarantining at home if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or
COVID-19 symptoms.

In the words of Winston Churchill, "To improve is to change: to be perfect is to change often." As a
community, we must continue to be flexible during these times of uncertainty. This school year
we will show the community, the state, and the nation that we are Social Circle Strong because we
are #SCCSALLIN !
Sincerely,
Dr. Robbie Hooker
