Superintendent's Message

Dr Hooker

Social Circle Family,

We are excited about the 2022-2023 school year.  As educators, it is our responsibility to meet a student where they are and elevate them to where they can be. As a whole, our district has improved during the past two challenging years.  We embraced the philosophy of being more compassionate and flexible as we endured the pandemic.  While we remember the obstacles we have overcome and lessons learned, we look forward to a new and exciting school year.

This school year, we will continue to review our 2020-2025 strategic plan and monitor our growth and areas where improvement is needed.  We will seek the input of stakeholders as we develop our Portrait of a Graduate. Throughout the year, we will have town hall meetings to gather your feedback about which qualities and characteristics all graduates of Social Circle City Schools should possess. We look forward to working with students, families, staff and community members in this mission critical work.

Our School Safety team is working with our faculty and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment. Both our Academic Support and Instructional teams are working to develop partnerships with local businesses in order to provide even better opportunities for all of our students.  As always, we will continue to meet with our Parent, Student, and Teacher Advisory Councils to help move from being good to great.

I, along with our entire staff, feel honored and blessed to be a part of each student's success story. Thank you for trusting us to partner with you in their education.
