School Climate Ratings

School Climate Rating

The Social Circle City Schools and community take great pride in the positive climates in our schools.  We know that students learn better in an environment where they feel safe and secure. We are especially proud of the performance of all of the Social Circle City Schools on the 2018 School Climate Star Ratings.  The Georgia Department of Education evaluated data from the 2017-2018 school year regarding parent, student, and staff responses on climate surveys, disciplinary incidents, and attendance rates in order to calculate each schools’ ratings. Our Primary and Elementary Schools both earned 5 out of 5 possible stars.  Our Middle and High Schools earned 4 out of 5 stars, just short of the cut off for 5 stars. “We will continue to evaluate our processes and communicate frequently with students and parents about ways that we can improve our climate and help our students to achieve their hopes and dreams,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd McGhee.  The Social Circle City Schools System strives to be a premier system; providing a world-class education so that all students are college and career ready with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to lead productive lives in a changing world. Social Circle City Schools offer unique opportunities for learning in a small town family environment that encourages student exploration of their individual interests and empowers students with the ability to achieve great success.
