Thank you for your cooperation.

Important Information for Car Rider Line

map

Parents,

It has been brought to our attention that there have been some issues with the car rider line at
times. We certainly apologize for this and ask that in the future if you have complaints,
concerns, or suggestions, call the school and let us know.

In coordination with the Social Circle Police Department, we have changed a few things about
our car rider line. We hope that this will help it run more safely and smoothly.

If you look at the map, you will notice the biggest change is after the two lanes change to one
lane, it does not go back to two lanes. From now on, please form a single line at the stop sign
until past the pavilion where there is room for two lanes. Soon, we will have signs marking this.
Please be kind, and take turns while moving into one lane.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

No Face to Face School Election Day election day

Dear SCCS Families,
We have received a request from the Elections Board to use the gym on the middle &
high school campus for the November 3rd, 2020, national elections. They anticipate
large participation rates and need a facility that will allow for greater social distancing
than the facilities that they typically use.

Families have expressed concerns about how long we will be able to remain open due to strict CDC and DPH quarantine rules. SCCS wants to remain open for face to face instruction. Please continue to support us by following these essential steps.

Return to School Playbook playbook

Social Circle City Schools are adapting our teaching, learning, and operations to welcome our students back to a safe and encouraging learning environment to begin the School Year. This Playbook (click here to view) is designed to highlight many of the ways we are modifying our practices to keep children and staff as safe as possible while providing students the ultimate learning experience. Whether families choose to attend school in person or through remote learning, Social Circle City Schools will make sure that all students have access to a learning experience that makes Social Circle City Schools the best place to learn. We fully expect to maintain the same rigorous learning level, regardless of a family's choice of attendance option. Social Circle City Schools continue to strive to Serve the Community while Cultivating Success, even as we meet the challenges of our current situation.
