Dear SCCS Families,
We have received a request from the Elections Board to use the gym on the middle &
high school campus for the November 3rd, 2020, national elections. They anticipate
large participation rates and need a facility that will allow for greater social distancing
than the facilities that they typically use.
Families have expressed concerns about how long we will be able to remain open due to strict CDC and DPH quarantine rules. SCCS wants to remain open for face to face instruction. Please continue to support us by following these essential steps.
Social Circle City Schools are adapting our teaching, learning, and operations to welcome our students back to a safe and encouraging learning environment to begin the School Year. This Playbook (click here to view) is designed to highlight many of the ways we are modifying our practices to keep children and staff as safe as possible while providing students the ultimate learning experience. Whether families choose to attend school in person or through remote learning, Social Circle City Schools will make sure that all students have access to a learning experience that makes Social Circle City Schools the best place to learn. We fully expect to maintain the same rigorous learning level, regardless of a family's choice of attendance option. Social Circle City Schools continue to strive to Serve the Community while Cultivating Success, even as we meet the challenges of our current situation.
We have created the attached flow chart to help staff and parents understand how we will communicate identified COVID-19 cases. Click HERE to view the flow chart.
