Social Circle City Schools offers a virtual school experience for high school students in our community who are currently home-schooled or who attend private school. We are currently accepting applications for the second semester. Middle School Assessment Exception Waiver Survey Doe

Under the Every Student Succeeds Act, states are provided the option of exempting eighth-grade students from their end-of-grade mathematics assessment provided: a) those students have completed a high school mathematics course and are administered the end-of-course assessment associated with that course, b) their performance on the assessment is used in the year the student takes the assessment to measure academic achievement, and c) in high school the student takes a more advanced high school mathematics assessment. State officials in Georgia, however, believe the exception is not adequately broad or inclusive.

No Face to Face School Election Day election day

Dear SCCS Families,
We have received a request from the Elections Board to use the gym on the middle &
high school campus for the November 3rd, 2020, national elections. They anticipate
large participation rates and need a facility that will allow for greater social distancing
than the facilities that they typically use.

FREE Meals For ALL Students Free Meals


Breakfast and Lunch at No Cost - Sept 14th - Dec 31st

All Social Circle City Schools students will receive one free breakfast and one free lunch daily between September 14th, 2020 and December 31st, 2020.  U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, announced that this temporary flexibility is being provided as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.  All schools in the state of Georgia are eligible for this program until December 31st or until all of the USDA funds are exhausted. Thank you Middle/High school parents for your cooperation during the morning and afternoon car rider line.  To insure a safe and efficient drop off in the morning please follow the steps and refer to diagram.

“See Something, Send Something” provides a platform to capture a photo of suspicious activity or send in information with written text. Information received in the app is sent directly to the Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISAC) where the tips can be evaluated and provided to law enforcement across the state as needed.
